Simon & Schuster UK announce the exciting addition of Simon Pulse, a teen imprint that's sure to get your pulse racing.
And the really exciting news for Becca's UK fans...
How very exciting for all of Becca's UK Fans!!And the really exciting news for Becca's UK fans...
....The decision to launch Simon Pulse follows huge success for Simon and Schuster Children’s Books in the YA paranormal romance and urban fantasy area in recent months, with the hardcover edition of Becca Fitzpatrick’s Hush, Hush selling in excess of 100,000 copies since last autumn and L J Smith’s Dark Visions selling 75,000 copies within three months of publication.
Simon Pulse will publish the best teen gothic literature, continuing to represent some of the biggest names in contemporary supernatural fiction, such as L J Smith, Elizabeth Chandler and Nancy Holder, but will also launch début authors with the potential to crossover and be stars of the future. It will be a paperback only imprint.
Taking the Simon Pulse name from Simon and Schuster US’s teen imprint, the new list will launch with six titles, which include the first paperback publication of the bestseller Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith, The Demon’s Covenant by Sarah Rees Brennan, Passing Strange by Dan Waters, Dark Secrets: No Time to Die & The Deep End of Fear by Elizabeth Chandler and Claire de Lune, a sexy werewolf novel with a twist, from début author, Christine Johnson.....
...The launch will be marked with a major marketing, PR and social networking campaign headlined by a special visit from Fitzpatrick at a major UK convention in the autumn, for which she is being specially flown in from the US. Fitzpatrick will follow this with a nationwide tour of the UK.
The fabulous Jenny from Wondrous Reads, a leading UK Book Blog, is pleased with the announcement, saying "Simon & Schuster Children's consistently publish some of the year's best teen novels - they know what their market wants, and they never fail to deliver. Getting a new book from them is like Christmas come early - I always end up with a new favourite and am left wanting more! The Pulse imprint is going to be HUGE!” We agree!!
