Christopher Pike wrote about a vampire that walked the earth for 5,000 years. She witnessed the pyramids being built, hung out with philosophers in ancient Greece, lived in a medieval castle.
If you had the chance to live for thousands of years what time period would you most want to experience. Why?
Maybe you'd like to see one of Shakespeare's plays performed for the first time, have dinner with Cleopatra, dance with Fred Astaire.Anything goes. Have fun with it!

If I had the chance to live for thousands of years, the time period I would want to experience is the medieval times.
If they wanted something done back then, they did it themselves. Nobody had all this technology, yet.
I think it would be a great experience.
I'd have to say I like where I'm living now, so if I had the opportunity, I probably wouldn't go back in time too far. Maybe a few decades ago to see the Beatles perform or something.

I want to see the 50's. Not just in movies, I want to be there. I think it would be awesome. Great cars, great clothes, great music.

I will take a jazz filled speakeasy. Where the men where hats and the women in fringe dresses.
Had trouble finding where I post the comment because it's in a different language.
My answer: I would love to live in ancient Egypt. Egypt's culture has always fascinated me. Their intricate processes of taking a person's organs out and then mummifying their bodies and then burying them in a pyramid (sometimes with their animals!). But I wouldn't want to live in ancient Egypt as a slave, because I can only imagine how they were treated.
Thanks for the contest and the entries!

If I could live at any time it would be the present. I am spoiled and like all of the creature comforts we have at our disposal.
See, I'm torn on this question....I love the technology and geekiness we can revel in now and in the future, so that part would be great, but I'd also like to go back to Vitorian times for the mannerisms, clothes (although constricting, simply gorgeous darling), and budding literary scene. *daydreams*

Wow, this is hard. I'd want to live in ancient Rome. Mostly in the time of Caesar. It truly is an interesting time block. You have the Roman Kingdom, the Republic and the Empire. All that betrayal and drama!
I'm suck a Latin geek :D
If I could experience anytime over thousands of years I would definitely have to say that I would have loved to experience the 60's. I would have loved to go to Woodstock, meet Jimmi Hendrix or Jim Morrison, or follow the Grateful Dead around. I think that time period was such a turning point for our country that I wish I could have been around then.
I think I would go back to the 50's and experience the sensation that was Elvis Presley. And I would shamelessly work my way into the Jungle Room >_<
If I had the chance I would want to go and live in the Victorian era just to wear the clothing:)
I agree with Angie. I would definitely love to be in the Victorian era. Some of the best stories were base in that era like Dracula. It seems like a very romantic time with all the balls and dresses.
I think I would still choose to live in this time. I love the past and the fashion, but to me it's very scary. Things were so different and simple things as a cold could kill you. I'm a wimp I know, I just rather read about it. =)
Definitely the Victorian Period because so much was going on that it would keep things exiting.
I would love to have been alive during the Civil Rights Movement. I wish I could have been in the crowd during Martin L. Kings Jr. "I have a Dream" speech. To be able to hear it for the first time with the rest of the American People during the March on Washington. OH Yes !! Also to be able to hear how music has changed and progressed over the years, how it manifested into a form of expression, that could make people laugh, cry, think, and just debate hard topic that were plaguing the world around it at that time period, that's pretty amazing also. 8-}
I would want to go back to Ancient Egypt. I have always been fascinated by that time period; the pyramids, Pharaohs, Cleopatra, mummies.
I'd like to live through 1700 - 2700
Because it gives me a chance to see how my country evolved from the start and then see how the world turns out after the 21st century!
I would like to live in the medieval times, when King Arthur and Merlin were about.. I see it as a romantic time :)
Hmmm, tough, tough call...Jane Austen...I'd like to go back to her time...and have tea with her.
Or the 1920s...so much going on at that time...
Fun contest!! Thanks for hosting it!
A tough one, but I think I'd want to be a flapper in the 20s. Fun stuff :)
I would love to go back to the 1800s. It just seems like it would be so interesting, and provide a great learning experience.
Wow, it's tough to pick just one. I think maybe the medieval times. It would be wild to live in a castle and wear those huge dresses that looked so grand.
I'd live when Jane Austen did. I'd love to meet the amazing woman who wrote some of my favorite books!
